This 1969 Ford Torino GT Convertible is a lesson in how resto-mods should be done. Under the hood you'll find an early 70's 351 Windsor block that's been bored and stroked to around 414 cubic inches. A Holley 900 CFM throttle body with 85 lb. injectors takes orders from a Megasquirt III ECU to feed the Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and intake. Exhaust gasses are ushered through Doug's ceramic try-y headers and expelled through a 2.5" Flowmaster "American Thunder" exhaust system. The engine is backed up by a 2003 4R70 4-speed overdrive automatic controlled by a Baumann TCS. The suspension has been completely rebuilt and features KYB shocks, 1.25" front sway bar and Street or Track adjustable strut rods. Braking is handled by Wilwood four-piston disc brakes at all four corners with Wilwood master cylinder and a Hydratech custom hydraboost for added gusto. On the outside you'll find a new top with new glass window, a new windshield and 17" Ford factory Mustang "Bullitt" wheels. The body has been completely stripped, epoxy primered and bathed in Ford Deep Wedgewood Blue. Interior is stock with the exception of a B&M shifter, slick aftermarket steering wheel and a tach in place of the clock. This car runs and drives like a new car -- because it kinda is. Marti report and a pile of receipts available.
