| History |
The Pontiac GTO was credited with starting the mid-sized muscle car trend in 1964 and it was still going strong six years later. The redesigned endure nose piece gave the "Goat" something of a monochromatic look. Many think the 1970 GTO was the best styled muscle car ever built.
Standard equipment for the GTO included: 400 CI engine, bucket seats, vinyl trimmed padded dashboard, twin air scoops, heavy-duty clutch, sports type springs and shock absorbers, dual exhaust, carpeting and much more.
Late in the production year, the L-75 455 HO engine, producing 360 HP, was offered. This GTO has the low production code WA 4 bolt main 455 HO engine. Of the 40,149 1970 GTOs manufactured, only 1,802 were produced with the L-75 engine with the 4 speed manual transmission. The code 64 heads had a 10.25:1 compression ratio.

Other GTOs in our Showroom | 1965 - $24,900 Here's a solid 1965 Pontiac GTO powered by a correct 1965 WT-coded 389 engine. This factory 4-speed car runs and drives like "The Great One" should. Correct Bluemist Slate paint looks good and the stock black interior sports a new headliner, door panels, carpet and recovered seats. Continuing the factory original theme, this GTO is equipped with dual split exhaust tips and Pontiac Rally I wheels wrapped in Firestone red line tires. This is your opportunity to slip behind the wheel of a nice GTO for not a lot of money. Includes PHS documentation.
| | 1966 - $35,900 The GTO was considered by many to be the first true muscle car! In 1966 Pontiac made the GTO its own model designation and restyled the body with coke-bottle contours and changes to the roof & taillights which made this car's shape unforgettable. This solid Great One comes in correct Cameo Ivory and Turquoise interior. It's well equipped with factory tach and gauges, bucket seats, console, power steering, power disc brakes, 7 inch Rally II Wheels. Powered by a 389 engine built with #62 heads with headers, massive 3 inch diameter exhaust and 4 speed transmission with Hurst shifter. PHS Documentation included. Sounds, runs and drives great!
| | 1968 - $54,900 This heavily optioned 1968 Pontiac GTO H.O. Convertible is one of 461 built and comes with PHS documentation. Great looking Verdoro Green paint is a perfect accompaniment the Parchment Gold bucket seat interior that includes factory air conditioning, power windows, power driver's seat, In-dash tachometer, AM radio with power antenna and dual-gate shifter with console. 1968 was the first year for Pontiac's Enduro bumper and optional hideaway headlights and they look great on this GTO. The 225/70-14 Redline tires mounted to Pontiac Rally II wheels don't stand a chance against the numbers matching 360 horsepower High Output 400 cubic inch engine backed up by Turbo 400 automatic transmission. But the power steering and brakes are more than enough to help you keep this beast between the lines. If you're looking for muscle that's just as comfortable pulling into the country club as it pulling away from the competition, this is the car for you.
| | 1970 - $39,900 This fine example of the super-rare 1970 Pontiac VOE GTO, AKA "The Humbler", with factory vacuum operated exhaust was delivered to Andy Klein Pontiac in Overland Park, KS on May 5th, 1970. Dressed in striking Atoll Blue paint with exclusive VOE striping and Pontiac Rally II wheels this special Goat looks simply brilliant. Power comes from the correct YS coded 400 engine mated to a Turbo 400 transmission. This car runs and drives great and one pull of the knob which operates the VOE will surely put a grin on your face. This well-optioned car is also equipped with power steering, power disc brakes and air conditioning. Out of the 233 VOE GTOs built, a scant 35 units were automatics with air, making this an extremely rare car and a perfect addition to any serious GTO collection.
